Tyke Jr. Vets Dominant Against Their Parents!

On Saturday February 21, the Tyke Select Jr. Vets took to this ice against their toughest opponents of the season, their parents! From the opening face-off to the final buzzer the Jr. Vets put on a dominant performance and beat their parents handily. Although the parents weren't able to defeat their offspring, they were able to fill the rink with lots of laughter and highlights.

Tyke Selects Participate in the Blue & Gold Classic

This past weekend, the Tyke Select team, participated in their second tournament of the season. The team traveled to Bradford to play in the Blue & Gold Classic. The first game, the Jr. Vets faced off against the North Toronto Red team. The Jr. Vets showed a lot of heart for the duration of the game but lost 7-1. The lone goal was scored when Natalia took a shot from the blue line and team speedster Kingston was able to rush in and shoot the rebound past the goalie.

Jr. Navy Vets Win Silver Medal at BCHL Tournament of Friends!

The Woodstock Tyke Select Jr. Vets participated in their first tournament of the season this past weekend in Brantford. The Jr. Vets opened up the schedule with a game against the Brantford 99ers on Friday evening. It was a hard fought game which ended in a 6-2 loss. The player MVP of the game was Omar who made numerous big saves in this game and throughout the entire tournament.

Jr. Vets Defeat Stoney Creek 4-2!

The Woodstock Jr. Vets took the ice on Monday for the much anticipated rematch against the Stoney Creek Bruins. Midway through the first period Will banged home a rebound to put the Jr. Vets up 1-0. While the Jr. Vets continued to play a strong game, Stoney Creek was able to net the next two goals of the game to give them a 2-1 edge. Halfway through the third period, the Jr. Vets tied it up when Parker unloaded a wrist shot from the top of the circles that found its way to the back of the net!

Tyke Selects Beat Stoney Creek in a Barn Burner!

“It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.”-Mark Twain After two tough games against Brantford 99ers and the Kitchener Capitals, the Jr. Vets made a trek to Stoney Creek on Monday night to play against the Bruins. The physically much bigger Bruins were able to pressure the Jr. Vets in their defensive zone. Woodstock showed a lot of grit always fighting hard for the puck and not allowing Stoney Creek a lane to the net.
