The Minor Atom MD squad experienced their first taste of tournament hockey this past weekend when they participated in Cambridge's Festival of Friendship Tournament. The Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets Minor Atom MD squad played their first home game Saturday against the St. Catherines Hurricanes. Despite fairly even game play throughout three periods, the Woodstock squad were able to persevere and claim the win.
Suspense ran especially high in the second period when the team got into penalty trouble and gave the Hurricanes a two man advantage, but Netminder Ty S. played stellar to preserve the lead and ultimately win a shut-out.
Great effort boys and good luck in Hamilton!!!

The Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets Minor Atom MD squad opened their season Saturday evening against the Cambridge Hawks. The Hawks came out hard the first few minutes but the boys held their ground.
Despite being down early in the game, the Woodstock boys were able to rally back and significantly out chanced the Hawks in the third period but eventually had to settle for a tie. Good effort boys!!!
