Welcome to our U9 hockey tryouts! We're delighted to have your child(ren) join us on the ice for an exciting hockey experience. Here's what you need to know about our tryout process:
1. Three Tryout Sessions: Each child will have a guaranteed three opportunities to showcase their skills. This provides a fair chance for everyone to demonstrate their abilities. Not all players will be moving forward for the final two tryouts. Cuts will be posted to the website so please ensure you have the proper number for your child saved on your phone etc.
2. Independent Evaluators: We have expert evaluators (some from coaching staff and many unaffiliated) who will be both on and off the ice. Being the head coach I will be evaluating off ice for a better perspective of the players skills and performance.
3. Comprehensive Assessment: We're evaluating all aspects of their game, from technical skills, to their dedication and attitude.
4. No Guaranteed Spots: It's essential to understand that there are no guaranteed spots on the team. Selection will be based on merit, focusing skills, attitude, and commitment to the sport.
Our primary aim is for your child(ren) to enjoy the tryouts and learn and grow as hockey players. We're looking forward to seeing your child(ren) on the ice for some great hockey!
