Major Novice Vets Win On & Off the Ice Saturday
The Major Novice Navy Vets had a busy but rewarding day on Saturday! They hosted the visiting Waterloo Mountain Wolves at the Complex and then after the game helped some Woodstock children have a happier Christmas this season!!
First, they played another solid game coming away with a 9-0 victory. Goal scorers for the Vets were Nolan Brett (2), Ben Symons (2), Brady Carne, Connor R, Connor S, Carson Horne and Ryan Copeland. Elliot Yu was solid in net and earned the shutout. Congratulations to to our Vets "Players of the Game" -- Evan Raymond and Connor Stanley!!
After the game - the boys travelled to the Salvation Army to donate a few sacks of unwrapped toys to the Salvation Army's Christmas Toy Drive. In many ways - this second victory of the day was the most valuable. Through their eforts - the boys have helped many children in the Woodstock area to have a happy holiday this Christmas. Great job boys and a special thanks to Heather, Kristen, Julie and Janice for organizing this toy drive on behalf of the team.
