Major Novice Navy Vets Take Second Place in London
The Major Novice Navy Vets had an excellent weekend as they competed in the 42nd Annual London SSE Tournament. The boys had a 2 & 1 record after playing teams from London, Burlington and Mt Brydges in the round robin portion of the tourney. They advanced to the semi finals vs the Milton Winterhawks and won 5-3 Sunday morning. The victory over Milton put them in the final Sunday afternoon and set up a re-match with the Mt Brydges Cougars, who handed the boys their only loss of the round robin. The Vets played a strong game that was tied 1-1 until Mt Brydges went ahead with just over 3 minutes to play in the third and held on for the 2-1 victory. Great weekend boys!!
