U10 BB-B Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets - Hockey Fights Cancer Game
WOODSTOCK U10 BB-B JR. NAVY VETS TEAM
The Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets U10 BB-B Rep Team will be hosting a special “Hockey Fights Cancer” Game on March 15, 2025 @ 1:15pm – Southwood Arena in Woodstock.
This game will be to show Strength, Sportsmanship and Friendship as both the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets and the Burlington Jr. Raiders Red team play to honor all persons impacted by this terrible disease.
Special “Hockey Fights Cancer” Cards will be handed out prior to the game and all who would like to participate can show their support by filling out the cards and showing them proudly during a special start to the game.
In conjunction with this special game, a charitable link has been created so that anyone wishing to donate towards the Canadian Cancer Society can do so anytime during February and March.

Cancer is a disease that has affected almost everyone in some way. This season is no different for one of our own. A few months ago one of our own players sibling was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment at this time. The game of hockey is so much more than wins or loses; the game is so much more than just showing up and being on ice; the game shares all aspects of life through the teammates we bond with, the coaches who guide us, to the parents who get us to where we are going, the arena staff who keep the facilities ready at all times, the referees who help keep our game fair and even and our community partners who help make hockey accessible through sponsorships.
Hockey is all about family and at this time it is important for us all to stand together with our sticks held high and in one voice tell the world that WE SUPPORT YOU – WE WILL FIGHT WITH YOU!
