Note:
Parents are welcome to visit the site to observe at any time however the bus will be exclusive to players and coaches for this event. 

Itinerary: 
9:00am - Team bus departs Reeves Community Centre

10:30am - 11:00am: Arrival + Intro + Energizer 
11:00am - 12:00pm: Team Building Initiatives
12:00pm - 12:30pm: LUNCH

12:30pm - 1:45pm: Adventure-Based Challenges

1:45pm - 3:30pm: Team Climbing
3:30pm - 4:30pm: Team Bonfire
4:30: Depart for Reeves Community Centre 
5:30pm-5:45pm: Player pickups at Reeves Community Centre


How to prepare for your day at ALTITUDE
What to wear:
● Athletic, comfortable clothing
○ Climbers may prefer clothing that covers shoulders and upper thighs as
harnesses go across these areas and can be irritating to some
○ Avoid loose clothes or long skirts/dresses if possible.
● Closed-toed shoes (no slip-on or open toed shoes are permitted)
● Glasses, hearing aids, diabetic patches, etc. permitted during activities
What to bring:
● WATER BOTTLE, lunch and/or snacks depending on program time/length
● Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, hair tie
● Signed paperwork (consent form)
What not to bring:
● Please leave all decorative jewelry (dangly earrings, necklaces, bracelets) at home
● No drugs or alcohol permitted on the premises
● No smoking or vaping permitted on the premises
What to expect:
● We operate rain or shine, please be dressed for the weather!
○ In the case of extreme weather (thunder & lightning, severe heat or cold, high
winds, smoke, poor air quality, etc.), we will ensure to book alternate, indoor
locations. If this occurs, we will notify you of the change.
● You may be asked to lift/touch people and spot during initiatives (optional)
● For climbing at the tower:
○ Climbers will be asked to wear both a chest and waist harness
■ We have alternative harnesses and padding to ensure everyone has the
opportunity to participate!
○ Climbers will be asked to wear a helmet
■ If wearing a helmet is not compatible with religious head wear, please ask
our staff before program regarding our helmet policies
Our staff, facilities, and safety
● We operate on a “challenge by choice” basis - allows participants to opt out of activities
● Our Climbing Wall, Alpine Tower, and low-ropes challenge structures are maintained by
Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) licensed vendor Adventure works
● Operations occur under OPHEA safety guidelines
● Staff are up to date with appropriate ACCT certifications and first aid qualifications


Directions to McMaster - Altitude on Campus:

Enter the main campus via the Sterling Street entrance.
Just after the kiosk (on the left), turn right and another quick right onto Stearn Drive.
Proceed past the first stop sign (pedestrian crosswalk) and stay in the right-hand lane.
At the next stop sign turn left and continue on Stearn Drive.
On your right will be the David Braley Athletics Centre (DBAC). If your program designates meeting at DBAC, enter main doors here.
To reach the Alpine Tower facility (in Parking Lot H), continue down Stearn Drive and turn right onto Mitchell Crescent at the next stop sign just at the end of the DBAC building.
The Ronald V. Joyce Stadium will now be on your right as you follow this road around the parking lot.
After the stadium you will pass the Les Prince Residence (on your left) along with the outdoor field & track facility (on your right).
You will come to a parking gate where you can take a parking ticket. Hold onto your ticket and insert at the exit gate (Note: there is a free 15 minute drop off/pick up window).
Keep following the road around the bend and the Alpine Tower facility will appear on your left-hand side.
There will be parking directly adjacent to the Tower outside the fencing.
