Hello U9 Families,
We would like to thank all the players who participated in the U9 evaluations for the 2024-2025 season. To say this process has been a challenge for the evaluators and coaching staff would be an understatement. This group of hockey players is very special!
We understand that this has been a stressful time for everyone, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we’ve made some very tough decisions.
Selecting the final roster was incredibly difficult, as every player gave their best effort on the ice. We are proud of how hard everyone worked and the improvements we saw from each player. Unfortunately, we cannot take everyone but please know that these decisions were not easy.
Our evaluation team took many factors into consideration when deciding on the team this year. We not only were evaluating the players on their skills and abilities, but also looking at things like attitude, character, leadership, listening abilities, and paying attention.
For those not on the final roster, we encourage you to keep developing your skills, as your progress from last season to this season was impressive. Keep practicing, stay passionate, and we hope to see you back next year.
Congratulations to those who have made the final roster. We’re excited to begin the season with you and are looking forward to working hard together as a team. I will be sending out another email later today with more information about our next steps.
