Releasing Players
This is the hard part - releasing players. I first started coaching without kids, REP teams so the emotional detachment was there. The process changed with my oldest, releasing friends children, knowing they were and no words at that time comfort them. It's decision time (and this is what I signed up for). There are a number of variables I am weighing right now and unfortunately some players/parents will be upset, confused or angry - I understand but the decisions made are what we feel are best moving forward and I stand by that.
The plan is to have the TEAM made tonight after practise. 2 players released will be aske to AP and come to our monthly power skating sessions and called up for practise/games as needed.
