The 2021-2022 Season started with a rushed beginning full of restrictions and protocols.  The team was brought together and hit the ice running within 2 weeks of being formed.  Season was underway - new coach, new rules, new mandates regarding COVID - yet the team came out of the gate with ambition and a high compete sense.  After the first 10 games, the team found its stride and through the next next 15 games found themselves competing at a high level and winners of a dominate tournament in Barrie @ the 400 cup.  The team was on a role and closer than ever before in its history.  Then COVID once again shut down the season for an entire month.  The loss of time on ice and the momentum we had gained was a tough one to regain once the season re started.  As a team you all put your hearts into the game and did everything possible to come back in the playoff series taking the final game into overtime.  The game was lost with 18 seconds left in overtime - but the way the team battled, worked together, and committed to the game plan was not lost to those who watched.  You all left everything you had on the ice and as a coaching staff - we applaud you all for what you learned and accomplished all season long.  As a team you brought respect, sportsmanship and the true meaning of what hockey is back to Woodstock Hockey.  Throughout the year teams we faced congratulated you all on how you handled yourselves on and off the ice throughout the season and that above all is the biggest win for the group - it was seen and noticed and I applaud you all for such !!!  Keep on learning, keep on playing with 100% effort and never ever stop doing the right things on and off the ice.  We as coaches can not wait to get back to the ice and I wish you all the best of luck with your future in hockey and other sports as well as your education.

THANK YOU ALL - ALL THE BEST !!!

Yours In Hockey,

Coach Ryan Bell
