Minor Atom Vets Advance To AA Championship Series
The Woodstock Minor Atom Navy Vets have advanced to the Alliance AA Championship series. The boys will face the winner of the London White vs London Green series in the final beginning next week.
The boys finished the season in second place in the AA division - which earned them a bye into the second round of playoffs. They faced a tough Kitchener team that finished only 1 point behind the Vets in regular season. The best 3 out of 5 series went to the 5th and deciding game. The Vets came out on top with a close 2-1 victory that saw the Vets score the winner with less than 2 minutes to go. It was a very close series that saw the Home team win every game and each game was decided by 2 goals or less!!
The Minor Atom Vets now await their challenger for the Championship of the AA Alliance loop. Good luck boys. Go Vets Go!!
